City of Toronto announces winners of Snap & Share photo contest

The City of Toronto and Nikon Canada have selected the winners of the winter Snap & Share photo contest. Produced by Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation and presented by Nikon Canada, the contest attracted more than 1,400 submissions from across the city.

Lyme disease prevention in Toronto

As warmer weather arrives, Toronto Public Health is reminding residents to protect themselves against blacklegged tick bites and Lyme disease. The blacklegged tick (Ixodes scapularis) is the only type of tick in Ontario that can transmit the bacteria that causes Lyme disease.

City of Toronto launches Share Your Downtown Story outreach

The City of Toronto today launched an outreach initiative called Share Your Downtown Story. The intention is to ensure that the comprehensive plan being developed for downtown – TOcore – is informed by how Torontonians experience downtown today as well as by what they want to see in the core of their city in the future.

YouthTO launched today as web resource

The City of Toronto's new Youth Portal – YouthTO – was officially launched today by Mayor John Tory and Councillor Joe Cressy (Ward 20 Trinity-Spadina), Toronto's Youth Equity Advocate.
