Visitors to Toronto City Hall will undergo baggage screening to access certain areas of City Hall starting Monday, September 17.
Baggage screening will be located on the east and west sides of the main floor rotunda and at the Hagerman Street entrance of City Hall. Baggage screening will not be required to access City services such as the library and the property tax and utility payment counters, and the Service Canada Centre in the rotunda.

Toronto City Council has approved a 2018 tax supported operating budget of $11.12 billion and a 10-year capital budget and plan of $25.98 billion. The 2018 budgets ensure that the City maintains or improves all service levels and makes unprecedented investments in social infrastructure and housing.

Mayor John Tory today declared February 14, 2018 as Toronto's first annual Safe City Day. Recognizing Safe City Day highlights the importance of bystanders' role assisting people in heart-related medical emergencies, especially cardiac arrest.

The City of Toronto has mailed the 2018 interim property tax bills – the first of two tax bills that will be mailed this year. The 2018 final tax bill will be mailed in May.
