Mayor Tory and partners launch Digital Main Street business platform

Today Mayor John Tory launched an innovative new online business support platform, the first of its kind worldwide, at http://www.digitalmainstreet.ca. He was joined by project partner representatives from the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA), Google Canada, MasterCard, Rogers Communications, Shopify and Yellow Pages, and main street businesses, project facilitators and vendors.

Identify water leaks and ways to save money with MyWaterToronto

With the warm weather here, residents are reminded that they can track their water use online with MyWaterToronto, a new tool from the City of Toronto that allows customers to view their water use by day, week, month or year.

The Zone youth space will officially open its doors to east Toronto youth

Deputy Mayor Glenn De Baeremaeker (Ward 38 Scarborough Centre) will join representatives from East Metro Youth Services and local youths on Friday, June 10 to officially open the doors to Toronto’s newest enhanced youth space, called The Zone. The event will take place from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at East Toronto Youth Services (1200 Markham Rd.) and will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a tour and youth speakers, who will share what the youth space means to them.

City of Toronto announces STOMP showcase 2016 winners

More than 400 young performers took the stage at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts yesterday to compete in the 15th annual STOMP Urban Dance Competition and Showcase. City representatives welcomed participants and kicked off the event, which drew an audience of about 2,000 people.
