Toronto City Council unanimously approves new collective agreement with TCEU Local 416 New agreement respects employees and City’s financial realities

Toronto City Council today approved a new collective agreement with the Toronto Civic Employees' Union Local 416 (CUPE), which represents 4,200 active outside workers and paramedics. This new collective agreement is one which is reasonable, affordable and allows the City to respond more effectively to the needs of Toronto residents and businesses.

City of Toronto celebrates progress in mentoring immigrants 2016

Members of the Toronto Public Service were joined by representatives of the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC) this evening and were recognized for their important work as mentors of professional immigrants in Toronto.

City of Toronto officially opens new Regent Park Community Centre with a community celebration

Deputy Mayor Pam McConnell (Ward 28 Toronto Centre-Rosedale), City of Toronto staff, a Toronto Community Housing representative and a local youth representative joined community members today to celebrate the grand opening of the new Regent Park Community Centre. The event included facility tours, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and performances by local entertainers.
