Fire Code violations at fatal fire on Toronto's Vinci Crescent

On November 22, 2015, a fire took place in a multi-unit dwelling on Vinci Crescent in the city's northwest area. Sadly, the homeowner perished in the basement.

Toronto Fire Services to file charges for Fire Code violations in two multi-units

City of Toronto Fire Services announced today that two recent multi-unit, residential fires in Toronto will result in charges for Ontario Fire Code violations.

Snow clearing for seniors and people with disabilities in Toronto 2015

If you are a senior or disabled resident of Toronto, the City will clear snow from the sidewalk in front of your home in those areas where the service is not provided by machine.

Dufferin Construction Company to design and build Fort York pedestrian and cycle bridge project

BUILD TORONTO, in partnership with the City of Toronto, announced today that a team led by Dufferin Construction Company, a division of CRH Canada Group Inc., will design and build the new Fort York Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge. The $19.7-million project will provide a significant benefit for both pedestrians and cyclists, improving the linkages between area communities and local parklands. Construction will commence in the spring of 2016 and is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2017.
