City of Toronto promotes water safety at Blue Flag 10th anniversary event

The City of Toronto is reminding residents about the importance of following water-safety rules when enjoying Toronto's Blue Flag beaches. The safety reminder was made at a media event today that marked the 10th anniversary of the Blue Flag program in Canada.

Toronto's Beach Season Kicks Off this Weekend

The majority of Toronto's swimming beaches will open Sunday, June 1, with lifeguards on site. Two other beaches will open June 14 once lifeguards have been trained.

Changes to Peak-Period Parking and Turn Restrictions on Three Downtown Toronto Streets

The City of Toronto is extending peak period parking and turning restrictions on Queen Street, King Street and Adelaide Street to reduce congestion in the downtown core.

City of Toronto Issues Extreme Cold Weather Alert and Advises Homless People to Seek Shelter - February 5th, 2014

The City of Toronto has called an Extreme Cold Weather Alert to make vulnerable homeless people in Toronto aware of the dangers of staying outside too long in cold weather and to ensure they have safe and warm places to go. The alert is in effect until further notice.
