Today, the City of Toronto and its presenting sponsor the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) hosted the third annual International Students Festival at David Pecaut Square in Toronto.

The Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, was joined by Deputy Mayor Norm Kelly, MPP Han Dong on behalf of the Honourable Michael Coteau, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, and Chief M. Bryan LaForme of the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation today to officially open a new visitor centre at Toronto's Fort York National Historic Site.

City of Toronto representatives joined community members today to celebrate the official opening of Sunnyside Bike Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and riding demonstrations.

The Toronto Public Service today announced its United Way fundraising goal of $1.25 million at an event held at David Pecaut Square. The event also featured a talent show by civic employees. City officials were joined by representatives of City unions and associations. The Toronto Public Service United Way campaign is jointly led by union and management. Leaders from four other large municipal sector organizations – Toronto Hydro, Toronto Community Housing, Toronto Police Service and Toronto Transit Commission – also attended in support of the United Way effort.
