Torontonians dig in to plant trees and shrubs at Trees Across Toronto planting event

Councillor Glenn De Baeremaeker (Ward 38 Scarborough Centre), Toronto's Tree Advocate, Councillor Jim Karygiannis (Ward 39 Scarborough-Agincourt) and City staff joined members of the community at L'Amoreaux North Park and Humber Arboretum today to plant over 2,500 trees and shrubs as part of the Trees Across Toronto annual spring planting event.

City of Toronto hosts economic development event to encourage businesses to sell Toronto abroad

The City of Toronto today presented an export industry event called Global Trade – Market Update involving various private and public sector participants, to encourage businesses to sell Toronto abroad. Growing Toronto’s economy and bringing more jobs to this city is the responsibility of both the City of Toronto and businesses. Today’s event provided businesses with the resources they need to make investment and export decisions.

City of Toronto and partners congratulate graduates of Toronto Sport Leadership Program 2015

Toronto Public Health report: health inequities persist in Toronto

A new report, The Unequal City 2015: Income and Health Inequities in Toronto, released today shows that significant differences in health status continue to exist between people because of their income. It is the first report to show how the relationship between health and income has changed in Toronto over time.
