A sure sign that spring has arrived in Toronto is the launch of golf season. Beginning tomorrow, Thursday, April 13, all five City-run courses will be open for business, weather permitting, and remain open throughout the holiday weekend.
Located on beautiful parklands, Toronto's courses are all affordable, high quality and TTC-accessible. Each of the five courses has its own unique characteristics and offers something for all skill levels. For a limited time, early spring rates are in effect and Don Valley Golf Course is offering a 14-hole round at the nine-hole rate.
As part of the City's efforts to make golf accessible to everyone, the courses offer reasonable rates and a variety of promotions including discounts for juniors and seniors, family nights and early bird, twilight and nine-hole rates.
The courses also offer affordable clinics and annual memberships for junior golfers ages 10 to 18. Private, semi-private and group lessons taught by PGA of Canada instructors are also available. Some courses also offer leagues for women.
Two of the City's golf courses were recognized by the Golfers' Choice Awards (Toronto Sun Golf Guide). Humber Valley won gold for Best Value Golf Course in the Greater Toronto Area and Dentonia Park was awarded silver for Best Par 3/Executive Golf Course in the GTA.
